In May 2017 the original GeoCube concept was conceived, enabled by recent developments which will allow delivering a small satellite of less than 50 kg in near-GEO.
In June 2017, GeoCube started to discuss informally with satellite operators, service providers and spacecraft experts. Initial technical details with the future host spacecraft providers were discussed.
In July 2017 a number of missions which are deemed realistic are further detailed.
